Welcome to Corvallis!
Corvallis, whose name means heart of the valley, is located north of Eugene in central Oregon. Known as a bicycle-friendly community, Corvallis prides itself on its conservation efforts and its ability to offer visitors the chance for a variety of outdoor activities. Cultural venues are well represented in Corvallis, such as the local Oregon State University. Home to a number of historic buildings, the Oregon State University campus also features extensive landscaping, a bookstore and more. The Saturday Farmer's Market is a popular draw for visitors and locals alike. Held every Saturday from mid-April to mid-November, the Farmer's Market features fresh, locally grown fruit and vegetables. Other weekly events during the summer months include the Corvallis Community Band concerts in Central Park, a series of free performances that encourages people with musical talent to join in.
